Walking into an empty restaurant is usually a red flag, but this place is the exception to the rule! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with friendly and attentive service, even though the owner was busy on the phone. We ordered the Pepperoni Pizza, Buffalo Wings, and Pizza Fries, everything was absolutely exceptional. The pizza had the perfect balance of crispy crust, flavorful sauce, and just the right amount of toppings. The wings were cooked to perfection with a great Buffalo kick, and the Pizza Fries were a delicious, cheesy, indulgent surprise. On top of that, the beer selection was great, with plenty of options to pair with our meal. The only thing missing was a bit of background music or something to create more ambiance--the silence made things feel a little awkward at first. That said, the food and service more than made up for it. If you're looking for a hidden gem with amazing food, great service, and a solid beer selection, don't let an empty dining room fool you--this spot is worth a visit!

4+ which makes it a 5 here on Yelp. Delivery order arrived hot and all items correct. Moreover, they honored some special requests from inside the delivery app, no problem. Wings are really top notch, we ordered the mango habanero seasoning. Pizza is very tasty. We liked the plain crust better than the garlic oil crust (we ordered 2 pizzas). Topics are plentiful and tasty. Would definitely order again.

So we were looking for pizza and wanted to make sure it was dog friendly. Pizza e Birra has a patio and some outdoor seating in front. When we walked up, we weren't sure they were open, but the owner came out and said hello and if the open sign is on, they are open. He even said it was alright to bring in Cako. Me: I really thought it said "birria" He: Yes, we get that sometimes. Dang, I felt dumb! I think I was just excited that the two of them were together...LOL! We ordered the pear and pecan salad to start...very good! The owner said they also had the best wings so I ordered 6 and he recommended the mango habenero sauce. These were really good! A sweet start with a very spicy kick which lingers. Such a great change from the ordinary buffalo. They had a great bottle of chianti that we shared. We then had a large Genovese with pesto, chicken, potatoes, pine nuts and garlic. This was soooooooo good! I mean, I didn't even think potatoes would work on a pizza but it all works well together. Also, amazing crust! PeB is a great little gem! I can't wait to come back and eat my way through the menu because there's other dishes that I want to try! A great way to spend a Saturday afternoon! Cako loved being there, because she laid down as we ate and she only does that when she loves the place. Cako Approves!

My niece hated it so much she was licking the plate and we had to drag her out of this establishment. If you have children this place is too good for them to handle.

It was my first time trying Pizza e Birra and I found it on the Yelp list of top places in San Diego. The large pizza is a very good value and excellent flavor. It wasn't too crowded and we got our food quickly. The service was great. Next time, I'll come and try the happy hour items.

Food was amazing! We felt like everything we ordered had great, authentic flavor. The wings were delicious, well sized and seasoned. Mango Habanero wasn't spicy but still had a good kick. Lemon pepper wings were great! Cheesy garlic bread was a great appetizer choice. Small sized pizza was fulfilling and dough was well cooked. Lastly, can't wrong with the cannoli! Service was great, our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Ambiance is nice. They have plenty of seating and also provide a patio. We loved that they were also pup friendly and were even able to get our pup a side of cooked chicken. Will definitely be coming back!
